Chaundra Calhoun
is board member.
With a deep belief in the power of second chances, Chaundra eagerly embraced the opportunity to serve as a board member for Hope Street. Having personally experienced the loss of loved ones to addiction, as well as witnessing the impact on friends and family, Chaundra felt an immediate connection to the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Drawing on her experience as an accountant working with other nonprofit organizations, Chaundra knew she could bring valuable skills to Hope Street. But more importantly, she was excited about working alongside a team of incredible women dedicated to helping other women break the cycle of addiction and create lasting change in their lives. Chaundra is committed to supporting initiatives that foster healing, self-empowerment, and long-term recovery.
Chaundra moved to the Walla Walla Valley in 1987. After graduating from Wa-Hi in 1992, she spent nearly a decade away before returning in 2002 with her 3-year-old son, Jackson. Since then, she has worked in accounting, currently serving as the Controller for Walla Walla Community Hospice, and has been actively involved in the community, serving on various boards over the years.
Outside of her board role, Chaundra enjoys teaching yoga, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She also loves her Bernedoodle puppy, Arlo, and the joy he brings to her life.
