The Story of Hope Street

“There is no way to share the story of Hope Street without first sharing part of my own.

My daughter, Sierra, struggled with substance use disorder for several years before passing away at the age of 21. During one season of her recovery journey, she returned home to Walla Walla after inpatient treatment. We knew sober living would offer the best environment for her continued recovery, but at the time, our community did not have the kind of supportive recovery housing she needed.

That gap is what led to the creation of Hope Street.

What began as a response to loss has grown into something much larger over the past five years. Today, Hope Street includes both our original recovery home and graduate housing, creating safe, supportive spaces where women can heal, rebuild their lives, and move toward long-term recovery and stability.

Along the way, we’ve learned that recovery is about far more than sobriety alone. Healing happens in relationship, community, structure, and belonging. We believe women deserve to be treated with dignity, compassion, honesty, and hope, regardless of where they are in their journey.

Hope Street exists to remind women that they are worthy of care, connection, and a meaningful future. Though born from heartbreak, Hope Street has become a story of resilience, community, and hope.”
