Elizabeth Alonso was born and raised in Walla Walla - she has been working as a Homeless Youth and Young Adult (ages 13-24) Systems of Care Navigator at Blue Mountain Action Council since March 2023. She focuses on youth and young adults who have had experiences with systems of care such as rehabilitation, inpatient behavioral health, jail, juvenile detention, and the foster care system. Elizabeth believes that there is room for systematic changes to better serve individuals in our community in a more intentional and holistic manner. She is also passionate about building a sense of community, advocating for additional resources, and providing support and/or guidance to attain independence and self-sufficiency. It’s important for everyone to have a sense of community/belonging, positive peer and community connections. Elizabeth also serves on the school board for the Walla Walla Public Schools.
