Markell Goudie

is Recovery Advocate.

Markell began her journey with Hope Street as a resident, and through the support, community, and transformation she experienced firsthand, she found a passion for helping other women walk their own recovery journeys. After becoming Senior Resident, then House Manager, and later transitioning into the role of Recovery Advocate, she has had the privilege of supporting women as they rebuild their lives and rediscover their strength.

She is a Certified Mediator and a Genesis Relapse Prevention Counselor, bringing both professional training and lived experience to the work she does every day. Her heart for this work comes from understanding the struggles many women face because she has walked through them herself. She truly loves loving people, encouraging them, and helping them see the hope and healing that is possible through connection, accountability, and support.

One of the things that makes Hope Street so special to her is that she knows personally how powerful this program can be. She has seen the transformation that happens when women are surrounded by community, compassion, and people who believe in them.

Outside of work, she is the proud mother of four children. She enjoys spending time with her kids in their backyard, taking road trips, going to church, and learning new things whenever she can.
