Event Poster Design Contest
Submission Guidelines
We’re excited to announce the "Hope Blooms" poster design contest for this year’s Plant a Little Hope fundraiser! We’re looking for a creative, original design that reflects the beauty of hope and growth while engaging the community. Here’s what to know:
What We’re Looking For:
Theme: The poster should celebrate "Hope Blooms" using color (think ombre, gradients, or tones) from the Hope Street branding colors (check the mood board for ideas!).
Details to include:
Plant a Little Hope: Use branding colors.
Hope Street and sponsor logos: These will be in branding colors, so leave some space for them in your design! You don’t need to worry about adding them.
Event Information:
Date & Time: May 9 from 2–6 PM and May 10 from 9 AM–4 PM
Location: 303 Catherine Street, Walla Walla, WA
Interactive Concept: Include a black-and-white line drawing (like a coloring book!) with floral or "blooming" elements for people to color in at home. See the mood board for ideas.
Note: We don’t want the entire poster to be a coloring page—just certain elements, like the flowers or blooms. The rest of the design can include vibrant colors from the branding palette.
Style: Keep it fun and unique—think anything from small, detailed patterns to bold, large-scale floral designs.
How to Submit:
Your artwork can be a painting, drawing, photography, or digital illustration—just make sure it’s original and fits the coloring concept.
File Specs: Format your design as 8.5” x 11” (portrait orientation) at 300 dpi. File size should be under 25 MB.
Deadline: Submit your design by March 1, 2025, to karencarman@hopestreethomes.org. Use the subject line “PALH Poster Design” and include:
Your name and an optional short bio (2–3 sentences).
Prizes and Final Artwork:
Winning Design: The winner will receive $100, and their artwork will be used for event posters, merchandise, and more!
Announcement Date: The winner will be revealed on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Artwork Ownership: The winning design will become the property of Hope Street and may be adjusted in collaboration with our team for final use.
Judging: Entries will be evaluated by a juried selection process.
We can’t wait to see how you interpret "Hope Blooms" and bring your creative vision to life. Let’s grow hope together!
